Firenze
The main destination of our study trip was Florence and the Florentine art vocational high school Liceo artistico statale di Porta Romana.
According to the students' travel diaries, the trip greatly deepened the contents of the ÄI8 and HI4 courses: understanding art, literature and cultural history.

What was experienced and seen was tied together in an art project with Italian students, which culminated in a final presentation at the art school and a joint pizza evening. The next one project will follow in February, when the Italians will come for a return visit, an Erasmus trip to Eira.

For a week, we studied and explored Florence together with the students of the art school.

The magnificent art school of 1500 students was quite an experience in itself, and in the Renaissance city of Florence, which is full of history, we got to see some world-famous art treasures, including Botticelli's Birth of Venus and Michelangelo's David.
The week was intense, but according to the travel diaries, nothing would have been changed.
In Florence, we visited several wonderful museums, cathedrals, the huge Boboli Gardens, and a couple of Renaissance palaces.
One day, we also took the train for a day trip to Venice.
